Alpha-copaene, initially derived from the copaiba tree (Copaifera langsdorfii), serves as the primary component in the essential oils of various sources such as Boahmeriaefolium, Piper, rhizome leaves, and resin of Croton Julocroton Canariumparvumleen. It is also found in Angelica root and seed oil, Carrot seed and leaf oil, Basil oil, Bay leaf oil, Cananga leaf oil, Cajeput oil, Clary sage oil, Sweet orange oil, Grapefruit oil, among others. This colourless, viscous liquid is clear in nature and possesses a distinctive woody, spicy, and honey aroma.
